Sephora Returns and Refunds

Online Purchases

Items purchased or received as a gift from Sephora.com may be returned. Return shipping is free by using the Merchandise Return label, which is included with every online order. Original shipping charges are non refundable, except if the item is being returned due to an error made by Sephora.

Items that were returned through the mail within 60 days of purchase will be refunded in full to the original credit card used to place the order. Items received 61 to 90 days after the purchase date will be refunded in the form of an online store credit. Items that were paid for using an online store credit, eGift Certificate or Sephora Gift Card can only be refunded through an online store credit. Sephora does not allow returns for items purchased over 90 days ago. Exchanges by mail are not available.

Printable return labels are available for free on the Sephora website. It can take a maximum of 30 days to process your return. Items purchased on Sephora.com can be returned to any free standing Sephora store. You will need to bring the credit card used to purchase the item, plus the order summary and return form with you.

Gift returns can be arranged by calling 1-877-SEPHORA and will be refunded in the form of an online store credit. Orders placed on Amazon.com can be returned for a full refund within 60 days. From 61 to 90 days, refunds will be issued as an online store credit, redeemable by calling 1-877-SEPHORA.

In-Store Purchases

Purchases made in a Sephora store or at Sephora in jcpenney locations must be returned to a retail store. Sephora does not accept mailed returns for merchandise purchased in store.

For online purchases, items can be returned by mail. When your return has been received by Sephora's warehouse and is being processed, an e-mail will be sent to you. It will contain details of the returned items that were received, as well as information concerning your refund. Refunds may take up to 30 days to process.

Any items that were paid for using a store credit, an eGift certificate or that were received as gifts will be refunded through a store credit. Any items that were returned after 60 days from purchase will only be refunded as an online store credit. These credits can be redeemed at Sephora's website and will apply automatically when you place an order online. Further information concerning the redemption of store credits can be found under the Customer Service section of Sephora's website.

wasted my time trying to print a return label that doesn't exists. should not be used as an option. not happy with my order. The free samples was a joke. nothing substantial

I do not understand why you cannot return an item bought from a stand alone store at a store in jc penneys....the stand alone store manager said I could only for the one in jc penney to tell me no! For the love of God will you let your employees know which one is correct?

I will NEVER buy anything from Sephora again. My first e perience shopping there then attempting to return "unopened" purchases made no sense. The return was going smoothly until a different cashier told the one cashier "we dont have enough money", REALLY? An $83 purchase from my debit card? I yook the humble road and will wait for a few......I want my mo.ey just like I gave it to them. I will ask them to remove my name from their mailimg list.

My daughter got a $200 face cleaner and I tried to return it for store credit, no I don't have a receipt. They ran my id and told me I couldn't return it because their system said I have to many returns. I have never return anything at Sephora, so I don't know what the issue is but I do know that I will not buy anything from them due to their poor policy

I tried to return unopened items with receipt marked 6 days ago to a jcpenny Sephora. The lady said I could only get an in store credit since it was purchased at a free standing store. Is this correct?
