Seagate Return Policy

Seagate has a return policy that allows returns within 30 days from the date that the product was shipped to the customer. Returns are only allowed for orders placed on their website and shipped to the United States.

A return order number is required to receive a refund. You must contact Seagate at 1-800-SEAGATE to obtain this number. The return order number is valid for 30 days after it is issued.

Products must be shipped back to Seagate in the original packaging or packaging which gives the shipped item the same amount of protection. The return order number will be definitively displayed on the outward portion of the container being retuned to them. Seagate reserves the right to refuse returns if the order number is not marked on the box. The customer is responsible for paying all shipping charges. Account credits will be issued within six to eight weeks after the product has been received by Seagate. Note that certain fees, such as advanced replacement charges and shipping or delivery charges for the original order are non refundable.

Orders for items that are in stock cannot be canceled once they're submitted. The customer must follow Seagate's regular return policy after the item is shipped to them. For items that are back ordered, it is possible to cancel the purchase by calling 1-800-SEAGATE.

Used i365 for backup for approximately 2 years, with an automatic credit card withdrawal each month. The cost was basically $36/month. Unfortunately I skipped a couple months of checking my credit card bill and when I did, i365 had charged $110+ for two months. My history of computing began with a Seagate 80 mb hard drive in my first PC. That was in 1983 and...looked not unlike the monolith in Stanley Kubrick's 2001 movie! Unfortunately, Target Stores are not run by HAL :( A month after purchase it failed :( and when I attempted to return it, I did not have the receipt. As it cost on sale $69.95, the amount was (a) over the threshhold for them to exchange or return and (b) Since I had no receipt and thus could not return...quot;And the gambler didn't break even though he counted his money at the table." ... a drive from the US, went to hong kong, drive died. called seagate support in hong kong about the drive, which is still in warranty, they told me since i got it in the US i ... the asia office. I said fine, i can get someone to bring the drive to the US and exchange it. Now they said no since i am in hk i need to contact the asia office (which i did and was told to bring back to the US for an exchange), unbelievable customer service by seagate.
