Online Purchases

Customers who wish to return an item purchased online may do so by mailing all items included in the package (merchandise, invoice, and any other forms) to the address below or bringing it to any Hollister Co. location in the United States.

  • All credits should appear on the customer's billing statement within two weeks of receipt of return by Hollister Co.
  • Items returned to a Hollister Co. location outside of the United States will be refunded in the form of store credit at the item's current price at that specific location. Statutory rights will not be affected.
  • Customers may use SmartLabel (located at bottom of invoice) for return shipping, for a fee of $7.00, which will be taken out of their refund credit. Please allow 7-10 days for SmartLabel-shipped items to be received by Hollister Co.'s distribution center. Customers will be responsible for any other shipping methods they wish to use.
  • Paypal payments returned in-store will be refunded a store credit.
  • Merchandise must be in the condition where it can be resold.
  • Customers may return items via the mailing address above or to a local Hollister Co. store, noting on invoice, which items they wish to exchange. Shipping costs are not refunded. Any credits will be given at the time, in which the exchange is processed. Additional payments sent for the exchange will not be accepted, and will be returned to the customer.
  • If the wrong item was sent, merchandise arrived in damaged condition, or merchandise is described differently on the website, customers must call (866) 426-1285 or (614) 219-5385, or send an email to HollisterCo@HollisterCo.com
Speed Exchange:
Speed Exchange is a process where the customer can pick their exchange item (within 60 days of original order date) and they will be charged via their original payment method for that particular item. The customer will not be charged for shipping of the exchange item. Credit for item being returned will be given upon receipt of return by Hollister Co. Gift card, reshipped items, and previous speed exchange orders are not eligible for Speed Exchange service. Only one Speed Exchange is allowed per original order.

In-Store Purchases

  • To receive a full refund in original payment form, merchandise must be in original condition, returned within 60 days and accompanied by the original receipt. Merchandise mailed to stores cannot be returned. Gift cards and store credits, unless required by law, cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.
  • A store credit will be issued for items returned more than 60 days after purchase, previously exchanged items and items not accompanied by a receipt. A driver’s license or other ID is required for returns without a receipt. Hollister may refuse any return without a receipt.
  • Merchandise from promotional offers is subject to the terms of the promotional offer. Ask an associate for details.
  • Purchases from Hollister outlets must be returned at outlets.
  • Items purchased in a foreign country will be returned for a store credit for the lowest amount the item has sold for.
  • 14 days after purchase are allowed for a price adjustment. An original receipt is required with the item in its original condition. Only one price adjustment per item is permitted.
  • The account of any check returned will be debited for the check amount and service fees as allowed by law.

The return process is the worst I have encountered sure you can do it better Hollister.

Why is there a £9 charge, or return it to the store and face the queue? No wonder the store is jam-packed

Almost all UK retailers offer hassle free and postage free return.

If I bought an in store purchase and lost the receipt HOWEVER I have the purchase on my club cali account can I return it for the price I paid?

I bought Sherpa Lined Down Puffer Jacket 4 months ago but it is already damage.I feel so bad about that because I believed in this product.I want to know is there any way to refund it.

Purchased a pair of Hollister Jeans from an outlet store in Delaware while on vacation. They ripped the first time I wore them. Hollister requires that outlet purchases be returned to outlets only. No mail returns, no returns to mall stores. The closest outlet store to my home is 100+ miles away. Shame on me for not knowing, but I have never purchased a pair of jeans that ripped like these did. So I either eat the price of the jeans or I spend the cost of the jeans in gas to return them. Not a happy customer and will never buy Hollister products again. By the way I was a first time customer.

My son purchased a pair of shorts two days ago in Grand Rapids, MI, and when he came home, he realized that he should have gotten a bigger size. He left his receipt in his friend's car, and his friend was out of town today. We had several errands to run this afternoon, and on the way we stopped by at Hollister at the University Park Mall, Mishawaka, IN, to exchange the pants to a bigger size. He never wore them to anywhere and he had the original tags. He worried about not having the receipt, but I assured him that stores usually issue a store credit for items returned without a receipt. When we explained the situation, the store clerks refused to let him exchange to a bigger size. They said that the return policy mandates that the original receipt should be accompanied.

I pleaded with them and said that we leave out of state and it was not easy to come to Hollister because there is no store near where we live. They said that he has to have the original tags AND the receipt to exchange. I was very frustrated that they would not let him exchange although he had the original tags. Other stores where we shop have much more kind, customer-friendly return policy. When I came home, I checked the website to see what the written policy was, and it does state that a store credit will be issued for items returned without a receipt.

I feel mistreated and I am quite upset.
