Famous Footwear Return Policy

Unworn merchandise may be returned within 30 days of purchase by either mailing the merchandise with the original sales receipt or in-store with the original sales receipt. Defective and/or damaged merchandise must be unworn for a return. Exchanges for the full purchase price are only available in-store.

In-Store Return Policy
  • Bring the credit card used for the merchandise.
  • Bring the merchandise to be returned in its’ original packaging.
  • Bring one of the following: the original receipt, the confirmation email, or the original packing receipt.
  • Bring a valid picture ID - U.S. state driver’s license, state ID, laser visa, or military ID; Canadian provincial driver’s license or provincial ID; passport; Mexican voter registration card or driver’s license; or Japanese driver’s license.
Customers can choose a refund for the purchase price or an in-store merchandise credit. Merchandise purchased using debit card, cash, or check is eligible for a cash refund, but credit card purchases will be returned back to the credit card used in the purchase.

Online Return Policy

Regular store purchases must be returned in-store. Online returns are only available for online purchases and home deliveries.
  • Send the merchandise in its’ original brand packaging.
  • Place merchandise, the original packing slip, and a completed copy of the return form (HERE) in the shipping box.
  • Ship package to: (INSERT SHIPPING ADDRESS)
  • It’s recommended to use an insured parcel or otherwise traceable shipping method.
Shipping charges are customer-paid and non-refundable.

Once the warehouse receives the merchandise, it will be inspected. Returns may be rejected if the merchandise does not meet inspection standards, regardless of receipt.

Refunds are processed within 10 days and are refunded via the form of payment used in purchasing the merchandise. An email confirmation will be delivered once the return is received and processed. It may take the credit card company an additional two to ten business days to post the applied credit.

Returns Without Original Receipt

Unworn merchandise returned without receipt may be eligible for either an exchange or in-store credit at the current price of the item; any difference in price will be the buyer’s responsibility. All returns are at the merchandiser's discretion.

I went to Famous Footwear in Front Royal and was told I couldn't return my defective Asics tennis shoe. But I could return them if they could be resold. They is a defect in the sole. There should be some kind of return policy for defective shoes. They should go back to vendor whom Famous Footwear purchased them from. I should not have to do this. I will never shop in your store again.
These shoes were purchase on May 20, 2017. Haven't been able to wear them since 6/8/17. I would like to return them and get my money back. I wear asics all the time. Never had this problem before. They were $69.99 plus tax.

So How are you supposed to know if you are satisfied or unsatisfied with your purchase/purchases if you can not wear them/try them at its fullest? You try them at the store to see if it fits and how comfortable you are but thats only at the 35% of what you do with the shoes in order to see it was a good purchase and we are satisfied let us try it a week or so a 100% of the time that we are wearing them

So I bought a pair of Sperry shoes. After a week, my heel hurt so bad I had to see a Dr. Diagnosis was planters and a heel spur. Not happy for the amount I paid but can't return them because I wore them. How am I supposed to know I am not satisfied if I can't wear them?
